All you need to know about THE Little Lace Cami

The Essential of My Lacy White Summer. The inspiration, making of and the styling of mine will be reveal.

The long awaited moment has finally arrived… My first ever MTO garment! I’d said that this is a great stable for those like me, vintage and lace are go-to elements for any season.

I have put many time on the selection of the lace, figuring out what combo will looks good together. I gathered with 5 types of lace, feminine style with flowers and bows detail on.

Looked at lots of chemises design from the 1890s, the lace arrangement and pattern has fascinated me.

The hand sewing of assemble them together is very time consuming, but the delicacy outcome has proved that many of those historical workmanship are worth preserved and promoted, especially during this mass production and machine-oriented industry.

THE MAKING OF

Detail look of all the hand sewing parts. Single thread, used Fujix Japan 100% cotton hand sewing thread.

~Assemble lace with back stitch~

~Attach lace shoulder strap on the top body, back stitch again~

~Of course finish all the lace seam with hand felling stitch(wide hem) or rolling hem stitch(narrow hem)~

~nice and neat, by hand~

THE LOOKBOOK

Wore in two ways, midsummer Edwardian lady and modern causal summer girl look.

Tried some dark academy filter, works very well with the photoshoot. Desk is an unexpected found in my grandma house, very aesthetic indeed.

A best "vacation top" to own. For those who like sunshine but hate heat, need a airy top, a top with vintage feeling and cute enough to pair with your summer clothing, this is the one.

3.Beige Tailoring Shorts

Basically any light colour short bottom, which the length of the cami top is cut to lengthen the bottom half of our body.

Or historic vibe if you preferred, paired it with more lace, a long maxi white skirt.
